Special Treat for Valentine’s Day:
Ice Cream in Chocolate Cup
Ever since I saw these handmade chocolate cups made by Heather, the owner of gorgeous cooking blog Sprinkle Bakes, I knew I had to try making some myself. And you know what? I had so much fun making the cups, and yes, they surely made Mr T happy!
I used water bomb balloons instead of usual balloons; I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I could not (seriously) blow them up because they were so darn hard! Mr T managed to blow one up (yes, just one), but the other four I just filled them with water (shame…). For how to make these chocolate cups, please click here!
After about 30 minutes’ setting time, beautiful cups were born :)
The balloons were released from chocolate super easily, but for the first cup I didn’t wait long enough for the chocolate to properly set, so it broke. Sad, but still yummy!
I also made frozen strawberry cheesecake, spun sugar, strawberry coulis and leaf-shaped Matcha chocolate.
I used the small chocolate cup as a strawberry coulis pot.
It looks like a lot of hard work (or so I hope!), but each component needs so little cooking with very simple technique. Honestly, trying to blow water bomb balloons was the hardest task of all!!!
Last but not least, I’m participating The Pinterest Challenge this week; it’s basically an opportunity to actually make the things you’ve pinned.
And, Bev from Flamingo Toes, my favourite blog of all time, is the guest Pinhead (yayyy)! I’m going to do some more projects from my Pinterest Boards (you can see my boards here), and if you dig my projects or feel very kind or both, you can vote for them from 13th – 16th Februry @ Better Life Bags. Happy crafting & happy pinning!
