DIY Paper Hermes Jige Clutch

Hermes Jige Clutch top

Head over to the Hermes site, ladies, because… yes, a new free downloadable has arrived! First it was the classic Kelly bag, then Collier de Chien cuff, and this time it’s the adoreble Jige clutch!

If you haven’t downloaded from them before, visit the Hermes website, click on ‘travel the world of Hermes’, and click on the thumbnail that says ‘I want it, I’ll have it!’ along with the image of a blank white clutch. There are six different patterns you can choose from; simply download the design you like, print it out, then cut out and glue them together!

I chose these three designs, and I waxed them before assembling them so that the papers become more durable (I used ordinary printing paper). For how to make waxed papers from plain papers, please read this post.

Also, waxed papers are semi-transparent, meaning that the backside look pretty, too. The inside of the bag is as pretty as the outside, you see?

The back is pretty, too. Oh, Hermes, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  1. Your earlier post said that you can’t glue on waxed paper. Did you glue the waxed paper or did you stitch? thanks!

  2. I cut the paper before waxing, but you could do either way :) Thanks for stopping by, TS!

  3. Did you wax the paper first and cut after, or cut first and wax after?
    Thanks :)

  4. Hi Noreen, the V-shaped templates are for the side part of the bag; simply stick them on both sides of the bag body :) Also, thank you so much for the link!

  5. Hi there. This is an interesting website. I DLed the Hermes pdf file for the paper bag and I don’t know what the V-shaped template (1st oage, Upper Right part) is for. I tried looking at the bag and there is no way I can tell where it should go. Can you help with this please?

Re the cuff template. I believe you can find the template in this link:
    Hope this helps.

  6. I’m afraid I don’t have the templates for the cuffs anymore :( You can try and google them, though; there are a few still available xx

  7. Do you happen to have a saved template(s) of the Collier de Chien cuff? I would love to make one, but I can’t find any online :(!
