Craft Tutorial: Leather Cord & Beads Bracelets

Craft Tutorial: Leather Cord & Beads Bracelets

Hello sweets, and happy Bank Holiday to lovelies living in the UK! Continuing from last Friday’s Leather Cord Bracelets Tutorial, today I’m going to share you two types of very easy bracelets how-to :)

My first inspiration was again from Honestly WTF (don’t you just love them?!):

Craft Tutorial: Leather Cord & Beads Bracelets honestly

DIY Gold Tube bracelets by Honestly WTF. These are just crazy cool, and their tutorial is really easy to follow as well! But if you want something more simple (ie, easier to make)… here is my version :)

What you’ll need:

Craft Tutorial: Leather Cord & Beads Bracelets tool
  • leather cord, 25 – 30cm (I used 1mm cord)
  • 1 curved tube bead (I bought it from here)

Instructions:

1) Thread the leather cord through a tube bead.

2) If your cord is thin (like mine), thread the cord one more time.

3) Tie knots on both sides. I referred to this tutorial by Passions for Fashion for tying knots – it was the easiest tutorial I’ve seen for this type of knots!

4) Trim the excess cord, and you’re done! And oh yes, these cords are adjustable!

It takes only a few minutes to make! One warning from me, though – you’ll be so hooked on making them that you will want to buy leather cords in every possible colours :)

Well now, ready for the next tutorial??

What you’ll need:

  • plastic cording, 25 – 30cm
  • 1 curved tube bead (I bought it from here)
  • 2 crimp beads
  • 1 magnetic clasp
  • seed beads
  • (not in the photo) scissors and pair of flat-nose pliers

Instructions:

1) Thread a crimp bead and one end of magnetic clasp through a plastic cording. Sorry you can hardly see the plastic cording in the photo…!

2) Thread the end of plastic cording again to make a small loop, then squeeze and close the crimp bead with flat-nose pliers.

3) Add your seed beads.

4) Add the tube bead – if the tube bead is smaller than your seed beads, add it before you thread all your seed beads.

5) Attach crimp bead and other end of magnetic clasp (the same way as step 1&2), squeeze the crimp bead and you’re done!

I couldn’t decide whether to go for vibrant colours or not, and in the end I chose soft pastels because my other bracelets are pretty colourful. I used small fresh water pearls instead of seed beads for one bracelet, and I LOVE it!!! I’m sure it’ll look stunning using other type of semi-precious gems, too :)

I love mixing these leather bracelets, they are so summery (for how to make the blue one, check out this tutorial from Passions for Fashion, and for the red one read this tutorial)!

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial!

PS. I love wearing bracelets during winter, too – do you think these bracelets are too summery for winter?
