V&A and Liberty Collaboration Fabric

V&A top

When you hear there is a collaboration between Victoria and Albert Museum and Liberty, you expect a lot. And what have they done? Truly beautiful fabrics!

V&A 1

These fabrics are created exclusively for the V&A shop, and feature designs from quilts in V&A collections dating from the 18th century. For example, ‘Ikat’ (the right one with the sleeve on) and ‘Stripes’ (on the left) are taken from a patchwork coverlet of the 1780s and 1790s.

V&A 7

‘Petals’ is taken from a patchwork coverlet pieced from various early 19th century printed cottons.

V&A 5

My favourite; ‘Hearts’, taken from a patchwork coverlet of the 1780s and 1790s.

I haven’t decided what I’m going to do with these lovelies, but I’m quite happy just marvelling at them at the moment. And right now, they are having 25% off (yay!) for these limited edition fabrics; go and shop online before they disappear!
