Hello lovelies! Hope you are enjoying the holiday season with your loved ones, wherever you are! And what better way to finish up this year’s SGT than having a nail art round-up?! I’m sharing holiday nail art inspirations I curated from Japanese bloggers and salons, fit for welcoming the year 2015. I’ve prepared a selection of sparkly, statement ones to understated and chic ones; hopefully you have new year’s nail art sorted! (the top image from Petit Bijou)
Hello lovelies! Today I’m sharing winter/holiday nail art inspirations I curated from Japanese bloggers and salons. This is a third and the last part of a three-part round-up series: you can find the first round-up (tweed and plaids) here, and second round-up (Animal Print, Knit Sweater & Torroiseshell) here.

Hello lovelies! Today I’m sharing winter/holiday nail art inspirations I curated from Japanese bloggers and salons. This is a second leg of a three-part round-up series: you can find the first round-up (tweed and plaids) here. (top image from Mink Nail)
Today’s theme is wintery animal print, knit sweater and tortoiseshell. Unfamiliar with ‘knit sweater’ nail art? Well, this autumn/winter season, wearing chunky, cable knit sweater design on your nails is a huge trend in Japan. And the next big thing is tortoiseshell design. So, ready for the fun? Read More
Hello lovelies! As you may have already noticed, I’m always on the hunt for fun, contemporary nail art designs. And one thing I can say for sure is that Japan is full of new designs, ideas and techniques (horay!), and probably because of that, our nail art trend here is a little bit different from what I see from other parts of the world. So, I gathered up some awesome (I mean, these artists are beyond amazing!) nail art designs by bloggers and salons based in Japan. The amount of inspirations I came up with was huge, so I’m dividing the round-up into three series; today it’s all about tweed (yes, tweed as in fabric) and plaids. Are you ready for some serious eye candies?!
Happy December, lovelies! I turned 35 today (yay!) and as any birthday girl would rightfully do so, I demanded many things to my (poor) better half. Having a cake for breakfast and lunch was one, and another was forcing him to doodle on my nails :)
Hello Lovelies! Today’s nail art is very simple and very ‘autumn-y’. As you guys must’ve noticed already, I can’t seem to stop myself from wearing more than one nail polish :) And I wanted to try and see if there was a colour combination that wasn’t too loud, even if worn five different colours on each hand. Hello Lovelies! I haven’t had nail art post for so long (the last one was posted on May 2013!) that it felt a bit odd to take photos of my own hands :)
Anyways, have you heard of ‘origami nail art’ before? I’ve been seeing lots of these origami inclusion nail art lately on Japanese nail art posts, but I don’t think I’ve seen one in anywhere else – I’m guessing that it’s because either 1) it’s a Japanese thing, origami or 2) it’s called something else in the rest of the world. Do you guys know anything about it??
Whatever it’s called, this is my first attempt on doing origami nail art, and hope you like it as much as I do, too! Read More
Hello Lovelies! First of all, I apologise for my long absence – yes, I’ve been busy (and a bit lazy, of course!) getting used to the life in Japan. It still doesn’t feel real that Mr T and I aren’t going back to the UK anymore, and sometimes Tokyo makes me feel really out of my comfort zone (there are so many people here compared to London!!!). I’m a country bumpkin, really, and hopefully I’ll get used to the city life soon :D
Anyways. For my first nail art in Japan, I chose a design that I’d call ‘lazy but fun’ – so if you’re feeling lazy, this is for you :)
Happy Valentine’s Day, sweets! Sorry for the lack of posts in the past week; I’ve been on a holiday in Morocco (mainly in Marrakesh). Today’s nail art post is just a quick update on what I wore during the holiday, and it’s a colourful version of last week’s Non Sweet Valentine’s Day nail art.
So, as I promised you yesterday, here are my nail art inspirations for Valentine’s Day. I’m drooling over these designs as I write this, and hope you enjoy the agony of choosing one design for the V day :)
